What About Sedation?

We are able to accommodate patients who need sedation to be able to tolerate dental care. Some people have no anxiety about dental treatment, and require no sedation. Local anesthetics are just fine. Others have deep-seated phobias that prevent them from getting the care they want and need. For those fearful patients we offer both compassion and three levels of sedation:

  • For the minimally fearful patient we have nitrous oxide (laughing gas) sedation.
  • For the moderately nervous patient we have oral sedation options that allow you to be relaxed, but not completely out of control.
  • For very fearful patients we work with a nurse anesthetist (CRNA) who can let you sleep through the entire procedure with IV sedation.

These options are available for both adults and children, and can make treatment possible no matter how severe your dental problems may be.
